Super simple Lentil Pot Pie with Hibiscus Salad
A pot pie can be a light nutritious meal.
You'll need:
For the pot pie:
- lentils
- salt
- pepper
- garlic powder
- turmeric
- boiled rice
For the hibiscus salad:
- pointed cabbage
- onion
- hibiscus petals
- mix of sesame seeds and sunflower seeds
- green pepper
- salt
- pepper
- olive oil
- rice vinegar
How to make it:
The lentil pot pie:
- boil white rice in water and a pinch of salt for 8 to 10 minutes
- drain the rice
- after resting in water to hydrate and expand, boil the lentils in water and a pinch of salt for 5 to 10 minutes
- using a masher, a fork or your hands, mash the lentils roughly
- season the lentils
- grab a bowl or a tray and drop the mix, pressing it lightly.
- Spread the rice on top, covering the whole surface
For the salad:
- slice the cabbage and the onion very thinly
- drop them in a bowl
- add the hibiscus petals and the seeds
- season the salad
